Walter J. Pollitt, 80, died at 7:50 a.m. Friday at Culver Hospital. He had been seriously ill three days. A Kentucky native, Mr. Pollitt was born Oct 19, 1885 in Maysvill.  He was married to Nannie Dudly, who preceded him in death. A retired carpenter and livestock buyer he had been a member of the Christian Church in Kentucky. He had lived in Dayton Ohio for a time. He is survived by three daughters, Mrs. Frances Hallett of rural Crawfordsville, Mrs. Barbra Gardner of Maysville and Mrs. Wanda Campbell of Portsmith, Ohio; a son, Fred Pollitt of Toledo; a brother, Thomas of Dayton; 17 grandchildre; 13 great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services were conducted at the Machledt & Servies Funeral Home in Waveland at 2 p.m Sunday with Rev. Mike Williams officiating.  Burial was in Indian Creek Hill Cemetery. - kbz
